The sisal fiber itself is tough in texture and has strong tensile strength, with an ultimate tensile strength of 500-700 MPa. Its wear resistance is more than three times that of wool carpets, far exceeding common fibers such as cotton and hemp. Daily walking, furniture pressure, and frequent movement are unlikely to cause fiber breakage, pilling, or deformation. Its service life can reach 5-15 years, much longer than ordinary synthetic fibers or wool carpets. It also has the characteristics of resistance to acid and alkali and corrosion. Daily spills of fruit juices and cleaning agents are unlikely to cause erosion to it. At the same time, it is resistant to moth damage and mold. The natural fiber contains antibacterial and insect-repellent components, making it difficult for bacteria and mites to breed and not prone to moth damage or deterioration. It can still maintain a good appearance and performance even after long-term use.

Sisal fibers possess a unique porous structure, featuring excellent moisture absorption and release capabilities. They can automatically absorb or release water in response to changes in environmental humidity, dynamically regulating the indoor air humidity. During the rainy season, they can absorb moisture to prevent indoor dampness and mold growth; during the dry season, they can release moisture to alleviate dryness and maintain indoor humidity within a comfortable range, reducing discomfort caused by dampness or dryness.
